CNY 2019

17.2.19 - This year's Chinese New Year celebration falls on 5th February and will last a period of 15 days (also known as Chap Goh Mei or 15th night). Another cultural festival not to be missed as both food and entertainment are served. Annually celebrated by the local community at the basketball court beside the Kota Kemuning lake and hosted by the ADUN and this time around, it's YB Ganabatirau a/l Veraman. 

 Customary mandarin oranges were distributed, as a symbol of prosperity (oranges are called 'kam' - meaning gold in the Chinese language) and wishes of 'Gong Xi Fa Cai' were offered.
